ICS and ARRL Training!

ARES members:

It is suggested you take the ICS-100 and ICS-200 online courses, then the ICS-700 online course. To get to these, go to the following FEMA site:

ICS Training !

Look for and select IS-100 Introduction to Incident Command System, I-100. Follow the directions, and it will take you through the training and the test. After completion of the I-100, select IS-200 ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents for that training and test. These two are prerequisites for the IS-700 National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction training and test.

Emergency communications online training, not the same as ICS training, is offered by the ARRL. The ARRL courses do cost you money. The first course, “EC-001 - Level I -- Introduction to Amateur Radio Emergency Communications” has a cost of $45. If you wish to expand your emergency communication skills, the courses can be found at:

ARRL Communications Training Courses !

There is NO reimbursement for money spent on the ARRL courses.
